Bangkok, 21 July 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, has unveiled its 2026 strategy under the theme “Value is the New Volume”—ushering in The New Thailand and signalling a bold shift to redefine Thai tourism through quality, balance, and sustainability.

Thailand Unites to Drive Sustainable Tourism Goals Towards 2030

Bangkok, 21 July 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), together with 20 public and private sector partners, signed a landmark Letter of Intent to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs) by 2030. Today’s agreement signals a unified national commitment to transform Thailand’s tourism sector through sustainability and shared responsibility, as part of TAT’s broader Strategic Direction 2026.

From Augusta to Portrush – Now It’s Ryder Cup Time

The men’s major championship season has come to a close, and what a thrilling ride it was. Rory McIlroy finally completed the career Grand Slam with a dramatic playoff victory over Justin Rose at Augusta National, capturing his fifth major and the coveted green jacket he had long been chasing. At the PGA Championship, Scottie Scheffler reaffirmed his dominance, cruising to a five-shot victory at Quail Hollow to claim his first PGA title and third major overall. The U.S. Open at Oakmont produced the year’s biggest surprise, as J.J. Spaun battled the brutal layout and a world-class field to earn his first major title at one-under-par. Then, at Royal Portrush, Scheffler struck again. With surgical precision on the links, he collected his second major of the year and fourth overall, leaving no doubt about who’s leading the men’s game in 2025.

Now, the stage is set for the final grand event of the season: the Ryder Cup. This year’s contest will take place at Bethpage Black in New York from September 26th to 28th. Team USA is eager to reclaim the Cup on home soil, while Team Europe aims to build on their momentum from the 2023 victory in Rome. Expect passion, pressure, and full-throttle team golf.

Jack Nicklaus, designer of our beloved Springfield, played a major role in Ryder Cup history. He competed in six Ryder Cups, winning four, and scored 18.5 career points. His iconic “Concession” putt in 1969 helped define the true spirit of sportsmanship. In 1983, he captained Team USA to a narrow 14½–13½ win—one of the most intense matches ever played.
