The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is aligning Trusted Thailand with the country’s national drive to improve tourism safety, raise service standards, and strengthen traveller confidence, as government agencies intensify coordinated action against unlawful tourism operators.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) concluded the TAT x LOT Polish Airlines familiarisation trip with a Tabletop Sale in Bangkok today, connecting Thai tourism suppliers with Polish travel partners ahead of LOT Polish Airlines’ inaugural direct Warsaw–Bangkok service on 7 October 2026.

Rainy Season Golf: Beautiful Conditions, Smart Precautions

June once again brings the arrival of Thailand’s green season—a time when the golf course becomes especially lush and vibrant. While the occasional tropical shower is part of the experience, mornings and early afternoons often still provide excellent playing conditions, with slightly cooler temperatures and refreshed fairways throughout the property.

The rainy season also brings the possibility of thunderstorms, and with that, an increased focus on lightning safety. We kindly remind all members to remain mindful of changing weather conditions during their round.

To further improve safety, Springfield’s golf carts, which are now equipped with the Caddy Genius GPS system for yardages and course information, are also capable of displaying weather alert messages. Staff will monitor approaching storms and activate the messaging system whenever lightning is detected within 30 kilometers of the course.

An Orange Alert is an early warning message indicating that lightning may be developing in the surrounding area. Players should remain vigilant and be prepared for possible suspension of play.

A Red Alert means lightning is close enough that play must stop immediately and all golfers should proceed to the nearest safe shelter, such as the clubhouse or on-course restroom facilities. This alert will also be accompanied by the club’s warning siren.

A long blast of the siren indicates suspension of play due to dangerous weather conditions, while a short double-blast signals that it is safe to resume play.

Safety remains our highest priority, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding during weather interruptions.

U.S. Open Returns to Shinnecock Hills

The 126th U.S. Open Championship will be held from June 18th–21st, 2026 at the historic Shinnecock Hills Golf Club — one of the most iconic and respected championship venues in the world. Founded in 1891, Shinnecock Hills is considered one of the oldest golf clubs in the United States and is famous for its rolling fairways, strong coastal winds, firm conditions, and lightning-fast greens.

The course has produced many memorable U.S. Open moments over the years. Past champions at Shinnecock Hills include legends such as Raymond Floyd, Corey Pavin, and most recently Brooks Koepka, who successfully defended his U.S. Open title there in 2018. One fun fact is that Shinnecock Hills was also one of the first clubs in America to admit women as members.

As a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, we always enjoy following the major championships closely. Jack Nicklaus captured four U.S. Open titles during his legendary career and finished runner-up an incredible seven times, highlighting his remarkable consistency in golf’s toughest major championship.

Golf Cart Rate Update

Starting June 1st, 2026, the regular guest golf cart rate will increase to THB 850 per round following the introduction of the new CaddyGenius GPS System.

As an introductory promotion, members will receive a 20% discount on cart fees throughout June, bringing the member cart rate to THB 680 per round.

The CaddyGenius GPS System provides accurate yardages, pace-of-play support, and enhanced on-course communication features to further improve the golfing experience.
